In flight

Birds flying in the falling snow.

Freedom

Although this may not be the best photo, I was really happy with the way that it turned out. I took this on a typical rainy day in Washington while we were in line for the ferry (another typical thing in Western WA). This is the first bird-in-motion photo that has turned out for me, so I shall display it with pride!

Raining in Paris

It was raining in Paris when we visited the Eiffel Tower and I had with me only my disposable Fujifilm camera. It’s strange how the most dismal situations can produce the most beautiful opportunities, isn’t it?

Ballerinas

These pale flowers brought to mind the grace and figure of dancers at a ballet.

Cold as Ice

My first shot with my new tripod. This was taken at sunset on New Year’s Eve 2010 on Greenlake. The close of a decade. It was a magical (and freezing) moment.

Elliot Bay

This photo feels like Seattle to me. I was 76 floors up in the Columbia Tower looking down on Elliot Bay being illuminated thusly by the setting winter sun. These giant ships caught my eye, and I’m glad they did.
